Eyeball AnyFirewall Server
provides a scalable NAT and firewall traversal solution
for SIP end-points based on IETF drafts and
standards such as STUN, TURN and ICE.
Firewall and NAT traversal is a widespread industry
challenge and one of the key barriers to broad adoption
of VoIP. Eyeball AnyFirewall Server along with
AnyFirewall Engine delivers a comprehensive solution to
this problem for VoIP applications and services.
The server provides STUN and STUN-relay features as per CableLabs IMS (Internet Multimedia Subsystem)
specification based on PacketCable 2.0. It may be used as a separate network element or the features may be
integrated into 3rd party CSCF (Call Session Control Function) servers.
Using AnyFirewall Server along with
AnyFirewall Engine establishes most calls using
peer-to-peer (P2P) media transport between end-points.
The relay-mode is used only when peer-to-peer transport
is not possible. P2P media transport dramatically
improves call quality (and user satisfaction) by
reducing packet loss and end-to-end latency.
